Ingredients
- 153.2 g tomatoes
- 153.2 g white beans
- 0.2167 tsp salt
- 0.2 tsp black pepper
- 85.1 g fresh spinach
- 0.8571 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 0.8444 tsp olive oil
- 127.7 g ground beef
- 68.1 g yellow onion
- 0.4333 tsp garlic powder
Method
- 01Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil, then add the grass-fed ground beef. Sear until deeply browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon so it develops a crust and reaches a safe internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- 02Toss in the chopped yellow onion and garlic powder; sauté until the onions are translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- 03Stir in the Cajun seasoning, allowing the spices to bloom in the hot fat for 30 seconds until aromatic.
- 04Add the cooked white beans and diced tomatoes. Lower the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the tomatoes to break down and create a rich sauce that clings to the beef and beans.
- 05Fold in the fresh spinach, tossing until just wilted but still vibrant green.
- 06Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Serve immediately in a warm bowl.
